Title: BAKIGARAS
Inspired by “Yatagarasu,” the guiding deity from Japanese mythology, this piece expresses the shared vision of “Yodogabe,” a project leading the way in Japan’s mural culture.
Intricate yet dynamic embroidery is stitched onto luxurious satin fabric. Featuring the sun, the Yatagarasu, and the iconic BAKI pattern on the back, this design is a “contemporary haori” where the rebellious spirit of the sukajan meets traditional beauty. It updates the traditional Japanese hanten into modern streetwear, bringing a new sense of excitement to everyday life.
