YODOKABE PROJECT
About Yodokabe
Yodokabe is a mural project based in Osaka's Yodogawa Ward. This non-profit project, operated by artist "BAKIBAKI" and mural production company "WALLSHARE," has been creating permanent murals by artists from Japan and abroad in the Yodogawa area, centered around Juso, since its launch in 2021. Without using public funds, the project brings new culture and color to the streets through crowdfunding and sponsorship from local businesses.

JUN INOUE
JUN INOUE captures Japan's delicate spirituality through abstract lines, creating a unique sense of "ma" (negative space) within his works. His exquisite sensibility stimulates the viewer's consciousness as modern aesthetics blend with traditional spirit. Under the theme "clothing for mountain people, clothing for those who think of mountains," he has infused his own imagery into the hanten, a traditional Japanese garment passed down through generations. Together with HiKESHi SPiRiT, he has created a piece that tightens the heart when worn.

Hideyuki Katsumata
Hideyuki Katsumata is an artist who commands kaleidoscopic colors. His unique style "HANAUTAH," born from the fusion of Japanese tradition and manga culture, resides in all of his works. His style balances between tradition and madness, transcending the constraints of any era. He paints beautiful art with psychedelic strokes on the canvas of ancient patterns, leaving a new story on HiKESHi SPiRiT's hanten.

Lauren YS
A work by Los Angeles-based muralist "LAUREN YS," who participates in mural festivals around the world. As a queer individual who doesn't fit within the LGBT spectrum, she expressed same-sex love between women under the theme of "female warriors" for her community and diversity. With masterful spray skills that layer colors like colored pencils without any sketching, she became a favorite among passersby, captivating people of all ages with her expression. She was Yodokabe's first international artist.
