二天一流(Niten Ichi Ryu) MASK L/S TEE

This collection pays an homage to the philosophy of Musashi Miyamoto, one of the most acclaimed Japanese swordsmen in the world.

“Niten Ichi Ryu,” translated to “the school of the strategy of two heavens as one,” is a name of Japanese traditional martial art and philosophy founded by Musashi Miyamoto.
His ideology is written in the book series called “Gorin No Sho (The Book of Five Rings.)”
The series is made out of five books: the Book of Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void, which Miyamoto writes about the essence of a samurai warrior’s challenge to battle.
The neck/mask part comes with a graphic of面頬(Mempō) (*1).
“二天一流(Niten Ichi Ryu)” in kanji characters are printed on the chest.
A famous quote by Miyamoto, “心常ニ道ヲ離レズ” (*2) is printed along both sleeves.
The back section has letters of five rings: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void as well as his famous two-swards, ohtachi and kotachi.

*1: Mempō (面頬): A type of Japanese traditional facial armor.
*2: 心常ニ道ヲ離レズ(Kokoro tsune-ni michi wo hanarezu)”: Translates to “Never stray from the way,” this quote tells you to have a mindset of never leave and master the path you believe in.
