Dogs are animals that have been with humans for a long time, they tend to be loyal and friendly.
Hikeshis loved the dog's characteristics, so they spent their lives together.
When the dog is smart and has a good physique, it was trained so that they can help hikeshis during the fire.
There were six authentic breeds of Japan (Shiba Inu, Kishu Ken, Shikoku Ken, Hokkaido Inu, Kai Ken, Akita Ken); however, people called them "Hikeshi Dogs" altogether.
Since Hikeshi Dogs in Asakusa were the most talented out of all the breeds, people called them "Asashiba" to separate from the rest.
