●What is the place of Hanayashiki?
Asakusa Hanayashiki was created by landscape architect Morita Rokusaburo in 1853, the end of the Edo era.
It was born as a flower garden centered on peony and chrysanthemum.
Amusement facilities have been set up since about the 1st year of the Meiji era.
It became very popular for the art of wild sparrows, and it was so popular that even the Emperor Taisho would come to visit him.
After that, it was rebuilt as an amusement park in 1949 (Showa 24) after a period when it was forced to close due to the earthquake and war.
At first, it was a surprise house, bean train, shooting, demon extermination, etc. Although it was small in size, it was widely loved by many people as a place for recreation and relaxation free of charge.
Currently, it is popular as an amusement park in Asakusa, where about 20 types of attractions, fairs, and restaurants are lined up.
